Lei giving will be held in the E/F QUAD after the ceremony. All visitors must leave campus by 9:30 a.m.
 
The purpose of the Rites of Passage Ceremony is to recognize the efforts of the 8th Grade Students who have successfully achieved promotion to high school. It is a celebration of their accomplishments at the middle school level and a symbol of hope that their goals and dreams for the future will become a reality.
 
RECOMMENDED ATTIRE FOR 8TH GRADERS:
Aloha attire - aloha shirt with long pants or aloha/floral print dress. Please note: Regular school I.D. and dress-code policies will be enforced. Those in violation of the dress-code may not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. Those students without their official school I.D. may be required to wear a temporary I.D.
 
ALL VISITORS MUST LEAVE CAMPUS BY 9:30 A.M.
If you plan to sign out your child after the ceremony, BRING YOUR PHOTO I.D. Bring something to sit on and an umbrella. NO BALLOONS OR NOISEMAKERS.
 
SPECIAL EVENT PARKING INFORMATION:
A limited number of parking stalls will be available on the AIS campus for Rites of Passage Guests. Overflow parking is available at the Korean Methodist Church, Halewiliko Place, and along the church-side of Kulawea Street starting at 8AM. Parking for persons with disabilities* will be available on the AIS Campus, which includes the first row of stalls in the lower parking lot for guests without wheelchairs, and wheelchair-accessible stalls available in the upper parking lot.
 
*DISABILITY PARKING PERMIT REQUIRED
 
STALLS ARE LIMITED AND AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. PLEASE DRIVE WITH ALOHA.
