Aloha AIS Ohana,

As we approach the end of another school year, let us reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared together. We’ve had a year of challenges, triumphs, and, most importantly, growth. It has been remarkable to see each and every one of our stakeholders display resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Despite the uncertainties that have surrounded us, our community has remained steadfast in its pursuit of knowledge, growth, and compassion and we’ve witnessed the power of unity and collaboration.

Our students inspire us with their curiosity, creativity, and passion for learning. Whether in the classroom, on the playing field, at performances, academic competitions, or within the community, their achievements have been a result of hard work, and the adults who support them every day. Each milestone reached, each challenge overcome, serves as a testament to their resilience and potential.

Behind every successful student is a team of dedicated educators, staff, and parents who work tirelessly to support and nurture their growth. Our faculty and staff have worked tirelessly to support our students’ academic success and growth as well as their social well-being. Mahalo parents and community members for your collaborative support for our school. Together, we have supported the growth of our students in all aspects of their lives.

As we bid aloha to the school year and eagerly anticipate the opportunities ahead, let us apply the lessons learned and cherish the good memories shared. To the outgoing 8th graders, embrace the upcoming challenges with courage, kindness, and resilience. Mahalo for your contributions to our school and best to all of you as your educational journey takes you to high school. To the returning 7th graders, we look forward to your return and another learning and growing year. It will be your responsibility to lead the incoming students and show them Kamali’i PRIDE.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer. One filled with good times and making great memories with family and friends. Remember, together we make Aiea a strong community that is diverse and unique. Always live with Aiea Intermediate PRIDE; you all are forever Kamali’i!

With Aloha,
James Kau Principal,
